This is the part of my site you come to read when you are either truly interested in me, or just plain bored. Whatever your reasons, I'm glad you stopped by.I'm currently living in San Francisco, working as a Photographer. My journey didn't start here. I was born and raised in the Midwest, farming community Illinois. While in my last year of College I was offered a job in the quickly expanding Telecommunications Industry. I worked as a technician for several years, eventually training and leading crews around the country installing and testing optical network equipment. This is what sparked my interest in photography. I bought my first digital camera in 1999 and it traveled with me everywhere. As work dominated my life for many years, I never really had a chance to experiment and get creative with my shots.
After a few years of 90% travel, I was burnt out. It was time for a change. I was offered a job in San Francisco and I took it. I had to pack that week and start my drive. It was here where my hobby turned into obsession. This is where I found what truly makes me happy. It wasn't the money I had chased around the country, It was the sound of the shutter. Knowing you nailed the picture. Seeing your results in print, hung on a wall. The smiles and laughs of happy customers.
Being new to the area, and the profession I'm trying to make a name for myself. In the meantime, I still work part time as a Telecom consultant. My goal is to travel again. This time on my terms, on my schedule. With the ultimate goal of writing a book about it. Sharing what I saw, what I felt.
